Previous office experience and education to degree level or equivalent is desirable. The Assistant must be willing to travel if required. Native-level French and fluency in written and oral Spanish and English are essential and knowledge of other languages would be an advantage.

Editorial Assistant (Projects) @ 4th Estate and William Collins (Harper Collins)

Our award winning 4th Estate and William Collins team are looking for an Editorial Assistant to support the Project Editorial Team in overseeing the publishing process for selected titles across the William Collins and Fourth Estate lists (including some new editions, digital products, paperbacks and reprints). The role also includes assisting the Publishing Operations Director in keeping all relevant databases up to date and monitoring various aspects of the critical path to ensure that titles are meeting key dates.

Data Assistant/Executive @ Abrams & Chronicle 

The Data Assistant/Executive (position dependent on experience) will work in the Data team to maintain the company title database and produce timely and accurate title data feeds. Our ideal candidate is calm, self-motivated and above all organised with excellent Excel skills and a keen eye for detail. Knowledge of Amazon Advantage/Vendor central, Nielsen Title Data and ONIX is desirable and a working knowledge of HTML is also useful but not integral.

The ideal candidate will have undertaken work experience in publishing or a similar field and will be looking to take the first step in their career in the publishing industry. The ideal candidate will have good communication and organisational skills, an understanding of key social media channels and their use for marketing, and a love of books. Experience of using design programs InDesign and Photoshop is desirable, but not essential.
