  1. More info in case you’re wondering:

    1. We have spots because the people originally scheduled to be with us now have jobs. I’m happy for them and sad for me because they were pretty awesome.

    2. The Internship is 8 weeks. It’s paid (London living wage), and is ‘broad’ meaning you aren’t based in one department. We always have 2 Interns.

    3. Most of the work Interns are given comes from Publicity (mail-outs, launches, booking tickets for authors).

    4. Editors will ask you to do manuscript reports and you get to help me manage the unsolicited submissions.

    5. Interns also do A LOT of general office admin: answering phones, sorting and franking post, booking deliveries, making tea, binding proof copies and greeting visitors. A LOT. I just want you to know this and be prepared.

    6. Ideally we’re looking for someone with some previous office or customer service experience but we’re a bit flexible on that depending on your skills.

    7. Hours of work are 9:00-5:00 or 9:30 -5:30. One intern does one shift, the other does the other (the Sr. Intern sort of gets to dictate this).

    8. It’s a graduate internship so ideally, you’ve finished your studies, but it doesn’t mean we will only take Uni graduates – you can be looking to change career and not have a degree at all. Experience is taken into consideration.
